It has come with us to nearly every single clinic visit and hospital stay. It has carried as few girls as one, and as many as seven. It has also held food, stuffed animals, toys, and water bottles. People know Brynna is coming before she even gets around the corner, because they hear the sound of the little stroller wheels on the tile floor. It has brought smiles to dozens and dozens of people. Brynna’s baby doll stroller.

Over the next couple of months, we are celebrating not only Brynna’s 4th birthday (March 2nd), but 2 years diagnosis date (April 8th), and 2 years CANCER FREE (May 7th)! In honor of all of this, we have been talking about ways we can spread joy to some of the other children at clinic, and so we are SO excited about this one…

Brynna’s Buggies!

I can’t tell you how many little girls come up to Brynna to see her stroller and girls, as she pushes it through clinic and the lobby of the Children’s Hospital. Some have tried to push the stroller on their own, some have admired it from a distance, but it never ceases to garner attention from these young, beautiful, warriors. So, we would love to donate little strollers to clinic, in honor of Brynna, to be given to other little girls who need a smile, a dash of joy, and their own stroller to transport their girls. We would LOVE for you to participate (especially in lieu of any birthday gifts for our girl)! There are a few ways to do so –

1. Write love notes – We thought it would be so very cool if each stroller was accompanied by a unique, hand written note. It doesn’t have to be anything big or fancy. It could be from your kids!! Just a hand-drawn picture, encouraging words, verses, or anything like that to show love to these young, amazing fighters. You can mail them to us, or give them to us if you see us around.

2. Donate funds – 100% will go directly to purchasing doll strollers, so Venmo (Karen-Allen-16) or check/cash is preferred.

3. Purchase a stroller directly – I created a very short and sweet Amazon Wishlist here, with a few varieties of strollers. You can purchase from the list, and it will be sent directly to us. We will then take the strollers to clinic to distribute. (We’ve also added a few baby dolls to the list, that could be gifted along with the stroller).

4. Pray! We have this vision of each and every stroller being specifically prayed over, and by extension, the child and family that the stroller will go to. The children fighting this awful disease are from every walk of life, and every background. Cancer doesn’t discriminate. How AMAZING would it be if you had one specific child (even though you may never know who), that you committed to praying over, through this? Whether you purchase a stroller, donate funds, or write a note/card/picture, or anything else, would you commit to praying for the child and her family? Prayer for strength, healing, peace, and ultimately, a relationship with God.

5. If you have any other ideas on how to make this even bigger and better, we would love to hear it!

We have no deadline on this…this is an ongoing vision and project for us! Also, the strollers we have chosen are extremely similar to Brynna’s current stroller, which has lasted 2 YEARS of clinic visits, hospital stays, and many, many hundreds of laps around our home. It’s almost time to retire it, but I would say that 2 years of constant love is a good run for a doll stroller. 🙂

Thank you for helping us honor our sweet girl, and bless some other extremely deserving young girls!

And those early pictures of Brynna with her stroller bring back all the tears and emotions.
